Our beliefs & truths

We believe in the Holy Trinity i.e., the Triune God (God in three persons) - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, born equally God and equally man. He was immaculately conceived of the Holy Spirit, born to the Virgin Mary, lived a blameless life, taught the Word and performed several miracles, died on the cross and was raised to life on the third day for man’s salvation unto eternal life. He then ascended to Heaven (Pentecost) and now sits at the right hand of the Father. He will come back to earth again soon.

We believe in baptism by water, and we do so by full immersion as was done in Christ’s time.

We believe in baptism by the Holy Spirit, this baptism is then physically evident in the speaking of tongues.

We believe that all scripture was given to man (inspired) by God. The whole Bible is without error i.e., is infallible, and is fully sufficient (complete) in its authority on all matters of faith.

We believe that we are at war with the Enemy (Satan, the Devil) (1 Peter 5:8). We believe that when a person becomes a Christian, they immediately join the side of the Living God and “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12).

We believe that human beings were created in the image and likeness of God.

We believe that the first humans (Adam and Eve) sinned against God and as a result incurred spiritual and physical death, and a separation between us and God. These consequences were passed down to all generations after them (as Adam’s seed) (Romans 3:23).

The resurrection of Jesus Christ raised a new generation, i.e., a new birth unto a living hope, with Jesus as the first begotten of this generation. When we are saved, we are no longer born of the Adamic seed but of the resurrection (unto salvation) of our Lord Jesus Christ (born-again). The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the basis of our faith. Without the resurrection, there is no Christianity i.e., without the resurrection, we are lost (1 Corinthians 15:14).

We believe humans can only be saved from spiritual death through the atoning work of our Lord Jesus Christ who was crucified unto death and was raised to life on the third day as an atoning sacrifice to reconcile us with God.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father, i.e., salvation through Jesus Christ is the only way of reconciling us to the Father – there is no other name and there is no other way. (Acts 4:12)

We believe that to gain salvation, a person must believe in their heart and confess with their mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord (Romans 10:9).

We believe that good works come out of a believer (a Christian) through the transformative work performed by the Holy Spirit – these good works are then evident to all.

We believe and partake in the Holy Communion to remember what Jesus Christ did for us (death and resurrection). We partake of His Body (represented with bread) and of His blood (represented with wine/fruit drink).

We believe in setting aside and giving to God (through the church) at least 10% of our income. In our view, the whole harvest (income) belongs to the Lord, we are simply stewards of it. We give back 10% in recognition of this principle and to build His church.

We believe that marriage is a sacred institution created by God to exist between one man and one woman (gender is assigned at birth).

We believe that faith is the only necessary requirement unto salvation - a Christian is a person who believes in the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father, i.e., salvation through Jesus Christ is the only way of reconciling us to the Father – there is no other name and there is no other way. (Acts 4:12)

Prayer is a wonderful, spiritual way to communicate with God. It is a two-way communication method which involves speaking with the Lord and also listening to Him as He guides us. We believe in praying in our known languages as well as in the Spirit, i.e. praying in tongues.
